Marketing & E-commerce Virtual Assistant

About the Company
Our client runs a specialty meat shop known for custom processing and high-end specialty products. They've built a loyal following on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, and are now expanding into e-commerce and niche shipping (not bulk) through a new Shopify store. Alongside product sales, they're growing an educational arm — teaching their audience how to make their own specialty products at home with plans to explore paid educational content down the line.
About the Role
This is a strategic marketing and e-commerce role, not a traditional admin-focused VA position. The client's in-house team handles content creation (filming and basic editing), so this role is about turning that content and audience into results: running ads, building out funnels, and growing the customer base. There's strong potential to grow into a full-time role as the relationship develops.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, launch, and manage paid ad campaigns on Meta and TikTok to drive lead generation and audience growth
• Streamline the customer journey from social media → Linktree → Shopify store, removing friction at every step
• Support the build-out of email/SMS marketing — including setting up systems to capture and organize customer data for future campaigns
• Help grow the brand's audience across TikTok (primary focus), Instagram, and Facebook
• Provide light support on content calendar, scheduling, and posting as needed (creative execution stays in-house)
• Support funnel-building for both product sales and the brand's educational/how-to content
• Flag and help explore growth opportunities on emerging channels (e.g. YouTube)
• As the role grows toward full-time, take on some traditional VA support such as inbox and calendar management
What We're Looking For
• Proven experience running Meta and/or TikTok ad campaigns focused on lead generation and growth
• E-commerce experience, ideally with Shopify
• Strong understanding of funnel-building and link-in-bio tools (e.g. Linktree)
• Comfortable with Canva and CapCut for light editing/posting support
• Familiarity with Trello, Outlook, and Google Drive
• A self-starter who's comfortable with flexible, async communication and non-traditional working hours
• Bonus: experience setting up email/SMS marketing tools (e.g. Klaviyo)
• Nice-to-have: iPhone user (for seamless iMessage/photo/video sharing)
Why This Role
This is a great fit for someone who wants real ownership over growth strategy rather than just execution — the client is hands-on with content but is looking for a partner who can take the lead on ads, funnels, and turning an already-engaged audience into consistent sales. There's clear room to grow into a full-time position as the partnership proves out.
