Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. You will be responsible for designing test plans, executing manual & automated tests, and collaborating with developers to identify bugs before release. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of testing methodologies and experience in both web and mobile environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze system specifications and requirement documents.
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
• Execute manual test cases (functional, regression, integration, smoke) and analyze results.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts (Selenium, Cypress, or similar).
• Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs using tools like JIRA or Asana.
• Perform API testing using Postman or REST Assured.
• Collaborate with the ReactJS developers and Product Managers to understand user stories.
• Conduct root cause analysis of identified defects and provide actionable feedback.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint planning).

Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• Testing Tools: Proficiency in at least one automation tool (Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright).
• API Testing: Strong experience with Postman, Swagger, or REST Assured.
• Bug Tracking: Experience with JIRA, Trello, or Azure DevOps.
• Methodologies: Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum, STLC, and various testing types (Black box, White box).
• Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
• Version Control: Familiarity with Git/GitHub.
• Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to Have (Preferred)

• Experience with Performance Testing (JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• ISTQB Certification.
