We are looking for a technically-strong Group Accountant to join our Finance team in providing accurate and timely reporting of Vista Group’s financial position in order to meet our reporting and legal compliance obligations.
The Vista Group consists of 9 operating companies in 6 countries, with the core Accounting, Billing, Debtor Management, Payables, Payroll, Legal and People services provided from the New Zealand head office. All monthly reporting, banking, treasury and taxation services are managed by the New Zealand finance team for the entire group of companies.
The Group Accountant role is technical in nature and key responsibilities include accounting for an operating subsidiary, financial management reporting, assistance with annual and interim statutory financial reporting, financial administration, support for cash management/treasury, and transfer pricing calculations.
The Group Accountant will also take a leadership role in process improvement, by managing and implementing projects and working with other finance team members to ensure successful outcomes.
Requirements
In order to be considered for this role, you will need:
- NZICA CA qualification or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in a CA or commercial environment
- Exposure to NZX and IFRS reporting requirements
- Experience preparing statutory and monthly management accounts for a multi-national group entity
- Consolidations experience
- Experience with Navision or similar group ERP system
- Advanced Excel spreadsheeting skills
- Experience in working with foreign currency transactions and currency translations
- Experience in systems improvement, including design and implementation of new systems.
