About DreamBook

DreamBook is an AI-powered writing platform. We're building the editorial and creative layer that turns a person's experiences into a manuscript worth publishing.

We launch publicly later this year, and we're building the small team that will shape the quality of every single book that comes out of our platform.

ย

Location: On-site, HSR, 5 days from the office

Type: Full-time

ย

๐Ÿš€ The Role

As a Book Manager, you sit at the intersection of editorial judgment, user conversation, and product quality. You'll be one of the first people in the company whose job is to make sure every DreamBook is a book worth reading.

You'll talk to the people writing them, review what the AI produces, and flag what needs to get better โ€” both in individual manuscripts and in the platform itself. This is a hands-on role for people who love books, love reading, and want to help build the editorial spine of a new kind of publishing platform.

ย

๐Ÿ“ What You'll Do

  • Review AI Manuscripts: Review AI-generated manuscripts on the backend using our internal AI-assisted review tools. As a 4-person team, you'll collectively help produce ~100 books in your first month and ~1,000 books in your second month.

  • User Onboarding & Storytelling: Take onboarding calls with users โ€” guide them through the platform, ask exploratory questions about their stories and experiences, and help them shape the direction of their book.

  • Editorial Feedback: Identify quality gaps and patterns in generated manuscripts โ€” inconsistencies, weak passages, structural issues โ€” and feed them back to the product team.

  • Build the Library: Help generate the first 1,000 books on the platform โ€” you're not just reviewing, you're actively part of the team building DreamBook's early library.

  • Product Testing: Contribute to product testing by surfacing UX issues, edge cases, and quality problems as you work with the platform daily.

ย

๐Ÿ” What We're Looking For

  • Educational Background: College graduates in Literature, Philosophy, Creative Writing, English, or a closely related humanities field.

  • Editorial Taste: Strong reading and writing taste โ€” you can tell the difference between a good book and a forgettable one, and explain exactly why.

  • People Skills: Comfortable on calls with users โ€” warm, curious, and great at drawing stories out of people who may have never written before.

  • Sharp Eye: Detail-oriented and consistent โ€” able to apply a review rubric across dozens of manuscripts without losing the thread.

  • AI-Forward Mindset: Open to working with AI-generated drafts as raw material to be shaped rather than as finished work.

ย

โœจ Why Join Us?

  • If you love literature but want to work at the cutting edge of technology, this is your chance to shape the future of storytelling. You'll be the founding team member on the editorial team, directly impacting our core product.
