Job Description
Job Function:
The Robotics Field Application Engineer is responsible for providing on-site technical expertise to deploy, optimize, and support robotic applications. This role will ensure systems are fully operational, efficient, and meet customer performance expectations while acting as a key interface between customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities and Objectives:
- Field Application & Customer Support
- Provide on-site programming, setup, and integration support
- Troubleshoot robotic systems and resolve issues
- Optimize performance to meet cycle time and quality targets
- Support commissioning and validation
- Provide remote technical support via phone and email to diagnose issues, guide customers, and ensure timely resolution
- Respond to customer inquiries and support requests, ensuring clear communication and high service quality
- Application Development & Optimization
- Develop and modify robot programs
- Implement solutions with vision, tracking, and safety systems
- Customize applications to customer needs
- Ensure performance and reliability
- Training & Knowledge Transfer
- Deliver customer and partner training
- Ensure proper understanding and usage of systems
- Support training material development
- Reporting & Process Discipline
- Document activities in CRM
- Provide technical reports
- Track project progress
- Collaboration & Improvement
- Work with internal teams
- Provide feedback for improvement
- Support knowledge sharing
- Adheres to all safety, quality and environmental standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Engineering, Robotics, or related field
- 3+ years experience in robotics or industrial automation
- Strong robot programming and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and control systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation
- Strong communication and customer interaction skills
- Willingness to travel up to 75%
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Structured text programming experience (C , C++, Python …)
- Experience with industrial fieldbus systems
- Experience with vision systems and conveyor tracking applications
- Multilingual (Spanish)
- Experience working with system integrators or OEMs
Additional Information
Physical Requirements:
- Periods sitting at a desk or standing and working on a computer
- Periods traveling in automobiles, planes
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry objects
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times
- Dexterity and accuracy as needed to operate equipment
Work schedule:
- Willingness to travel as required both domestically and internationally (up to 75%)
- This position will report to the Duncan, SC office.
