Job Description
We are seeking a bioanalytical assay scientist to support the development, optimization, and execution of immunology-based bioanalytical assays. The primary focus of this role will be cellular immunology methodologies used to characterize functional T-cell and B-cell subsets as well as innate immune responses in support of early vaccine programs. This position will also include routine laboratory and instrument maintenance and will be based in Springhouse, PA.
- Independently execute complex cell-based and immunology-based bioanalytical assays, utilizing techniques such as flow cytometry, ELISpot/FluoroSpot, MSD, and Luminex platforms
- Perform assay setup, sample processing, acquisition, data review, and first-line data interpretation with a high degree of technical rigor and attention to detail
- Support assay development, optimization and qualification activities for nonclinical and clinical biomarker and immunogenicity applications
- Conduct clinical sample testing for qualified bioanalytical assays
- Troubleshoot assay performance issues, instrument challenges, reagent variability, and sample-related issues, and recommend scientifically sound corrective actions
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot complex laboratory instrumentation, including flow cytometers and cell sorters, ELISpot/FluoroSpot readers, liquid handlers, and integrated robotic platforms
- Prepare reagents, controls, and study materials and perform PBMC isolation and related cellular workflows as needed to support assay readiness and execution
- Maintain accurate, complete, and inspection-ready records in accordance with SOPs, Good Documentation Practices, and applicable regulated laboratory requirements
- Assist in drafting and reviewing SOPs, protocols, forms, reports, deviations, and other technical documentation to support compliant assay execution
- Collaborate effectively with laboratory scientists, robotics engineers, project teams, management, and Quality partners to deliver high-quality data and meet program timelines
- Work safely and compliantly in a structured laboratory environment, including adherence to BSL-2 practices and applicable GLP/GxP expectations
The site is not accessible by public transportation routes.
