Job Description
🚀 This hybrid role is suited to candidates within commuting distance of Bridgwater or those willing to relocate with relocation support available.
You will support civil engineering design changes and construction delivery activities on site.
The role combines technical review, contractor coordination and configuration management responsibilities.
🏗️Review and accept civil design changes raised during construction activities
📋Provide technical responses supporting safe and efficient construction progress
🔍Review design deliverables ensuring quality, consistency and technical accuracy
🤝Coordinate closely with contractors, designers and multidisciplinary engineering teams
⚙️Manage site construction configuration and design change implementation processes
📐Support resolution of technical civil engineering and concrete design challenges
🛡️Ensure compliance with safety cases, CDM regulations and project requirements
📑Monitor engineering contractor activities and manage delivery priorities effectively
🔗Coordinate civil design interfaces with internal and external stakeholders
🚀Support construction readiness reviews and technical package release activities
Qualifications
🎓Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering discipline
🏗️Experience within design engineering and construction delivery environments
📐Working knowledge of concrete design codes including Eurocode 2
⚡Experience operating within highly regulated industrial or nuclear sectors
🛡️Understanding of hazard assessment, safety cases and CDM regulations
📋Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver against project deadlines
🔍Strong technical review and engineering problem-solving capabilities
🤝Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across multidisciplinary teams
🚀Proactive, pragmatic approach with ability to work independently under pressure
🏅Chartered status or progress towards ICE or IStructE registration desirable
