We are looking for a US or UK qualified lawyer with experience in production work to join our vibrant and innovative team at Fever’s global headquarters in Madrid, Spain! This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a talented, dynamic group of professionals, working on supporting content production teams around the world. If you’re ready to take on new challenges and grow with us, we want to hear from you!
Embedded in our collaborative Legal Department, you will report to the Legal Director and work closely with our Originals teams on production-related matters. Your role will involve advising on a wide range of legal issues to ensure that our event productions (including co-produced and licensed events) are executed smoothly and in compliance with legal and business requirements. - Draft, review, negotiate and advise on a wide range of agreements across content development, event production, distribution, marketing, sponsorship, and talent engagements, while continuously improving contract templates and processes.
- Support business and production teams by identifying legal risks, designing mitigation strategies, and facilitating the smooth execution of events and content initiatives across multiple jurisdictions.
- Conduct legal research, apply findings to operational facts, and deliver clear, actionable guidance to leadership and other stakeholders.
- Manage diverse legal projects, oversee contract workflows, maintain legal databases, and assist with internal compliance, including on intellectual property, data privacy, and regulatory matters.
- Support incident management and dispute resolution efforts along with our litigation specialists and coordinating stakeholder responses.
- Prepare and update internal templates, legal guides, and documents and participate in preparing and delivering training, memorandums, and presentations to employees, or other members of the Legal Department on legal matters.
Who you are
In order to be successful in this role, you will:
- Be a qualified US or UK barred lawyer, with 4+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in-house in experience-economy and/or live production company (with top-tier law firm experience a plus).
- Are a solution-oriented and strategic thinker with strong business judgment, capable of balancing legal risk with commercial objectives.
- Native or Bilingual English is a must, additional languages a plus.
- Are able to take ownership and prioritize appropriate resources to support multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously.
- Are an effective communicator with emotional intelligence who delivers clear advice to executives, business and creative teams.
- Are a self-motivated and adaptable team player, eager to embrace change, and contribute to a dynamic, fast-growing organization.
You can expect to join a lovely team of diverse, hardworking and kind professionals, where a cultural fit is someone looking to have an impact and work nimbly. We will strive to provide you with the tools and information needed to be successful in your role and to grow professionally. We welcome applications with unusual backgrounds with the expectation that the applicant will have acquired hard or soft skills and maturity throughout their experiences.
