Job Description

The Delivery Manager (Build) is accountable for the end-to-end build delivery of a Deposits Management System (DMS) under a Deposits Modernization Program, a large-scale and business-critical transformation initiative. The role leads vendor-led build teams responsible for core banking configuration, platform extensions, systems integration, testing, deployment readiness, and delivery quality across CASA and Time Deposit products, ensuring alignment to business objectives, architecture standards, timelines, scope, and quality expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all build streams and multi-functional delivery teams comprising internal and vendor resources.
  • Ensure accountability, governance, and disciplined delivery execution.
  • Align with program leadership on business outcomes, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and end users to plan, configure, and implement solutions aligned to business requirements.
  • Ensure delivery scope remains aligned with approved baselines and target-state architecture.
  • Partner with solution architects to maintain architectural alignment.
  • Own detailed planning activities and delivery schedules for assigned scope.
  • Coordinate dependencies across multiple delivery and project teams.
  • Track and report implementation progress, budget utilization, and delivery performance.
  • Identify, document, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Oversee issue resolution and escalate where necessary.
  • Manage external delivery dependencies and assess impacts to scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
  • Support vendor selection and oversee vendor delivery performance.
  • Manage third-party providers supporting the assigned delivery scope.
  • Ensure well-defined test strategies, plans, and schedules.
  • Oversee testing activities including Unit Testing, SIT, migration testing, NFR, and UAT support.
  • Align deployment schedules with technical and platform teams.
  • Ensure operational readiness prior to cutover and go-live.
  • Develop resource and capacity estimates.
  • Manage resource onboarding, offboarding, and performance concerns.
  • Ensure completion of all deliverables and project documentation.
  • Capture lessons learned and continuous improvement opportunities.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
  • Master’s degree preferred.

Work Experience

  • 8–10 years of relevant delivery or project management experience in banking or financial services.
  • Demonstrated leadership managing large, complex, multi-functional build teams.
  • Direct experience in core banking transformation and deposits modernization programs, preferably in recent engagements.
  • Hands-on experience with at least two (2) core banking platforms such as TCS, Finacle, or Fiserv.
  • Experience managing vendor-led delivery models and third-party implementation teams.
  • Regional/APAC delivery exposure preferred.
  • Prior consulting experience advantageous but not required.
  • Proven ability to operate independently in a high-transformation environment with minimal supervision.
