Job Description
AECOM is seeking a talented and motivated Architect to join our dynamic team in Shanghai, China. This role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful projects for public and private clients. The ideal candidate will have strong design and technical expertise as well as a collaborative mindset.
What you’ll do
• Analyze project backgrounds and conduct requirement interpretation & summary.
• Formulate feasible design strategies and project development plans.
• Assist the Project Director and Project Manager in formulating project schedules and budget planning. Ensure strict implementation of approved project plans, take accountability for design quality and delivery progress, and collaborate with team members to complete all design deliverables.
• Independently produce construction drawings, presentation materials, design reports and all contractual design deliverables throughout project phases.
• Coordinate cross-disciplinary design work with internal AECOM teams, external consultants and suppliers.
• Conduct proofreading, review and iterative revision of all design documents.
• Senior-level candidates shall take charge of client communication & relationship management, daily team coordination, overall project delivery management, and resolution of complex technical design issues.
• Complete other ad-hoc assignments instructed by the line manager.
Qualifications
Meet the requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Architecture or related disciplines.
• Minimum 4-5 years of professional architectural design experience covering conceptual design, schematic design, design development and construction documentation. Experienced in mixed-use, residential, commercial office, retail, hospitality and public building projects. Proven experience in medium-to-large scale projects is highly preferred.
• Proficient in design tools including Revit, BIM, AutoCAD, Rhino, Grasshopper, SketchUp, PKPM, Photoshop, InDesign; skilled in office & project management software including Microsoft Office, Project, Bluebeam and Acrobat.
• Excellent communication, coordination and teamwork skills to engage with internal teams and external clients.
• Highly organized, responsive, detail-oriented and capable of multi-tasking under tight schedules.
• Fluent in both written and spoken Chinese and English.
• Submission of a complete personal portfolio is mandatory for application.
