As part of ITG, you would join a collaborative team that plays an important role in helping customers navigate trade opportunities with confidence.

What you will be doing:

  • Support continuous improvement by sharing feedback on underwriting processes, tools, and ways of working.
  • Depending on your level, manage files of increasing complexity, autonomy, and visibility—from supporting routine transactions with guidance at levels 14–15, to independently handling standard to moderately complex work at level 16 and 17, to leading and advising on more complex or irregular transactions at level 18.

What we are looking for:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or another relevant discipline.
  • Knowledge of underwriting, financial analysis, transaction structuring, and/or contract bonding principles and practices.
  • Strong analytical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to make clear, well-supported recommendations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Experience requirements will vary by level:

  • Underwriter 14: Typically 1–2 years of relevant experience. You may be early in your underwriting or financial risk career, with experience supporting routine files or transactions and applying established processes with guidance.
  • Underwriter 15: Typically 2+ years of relevant experience. You bring experience managing routine underwriting or risk-related work with growing independence and can apply established frameworks to common transaction scenarios.
  • Underwriter 16: Typically 2–5 years of relevant experience. You can independently manage routine to moderately complex files, contribute to more complex analyses with guidance, and communicate recommendations clearly.
  • Underwriter 17: Typically 5+ years of relevant experience. You bring strong underwriting experience handling increasingly complex transactions, with the judgment and confidence to lead analyses, navigate challenge, and defend recommendations in broader forums.
  • Underwriter 18: Typically 7+ years of relevant experience. You bring deep underwriting expertise and experience with complex, high-risk, or high-visibility transactions, along with the credibility and interpersonal effectiveness to influence across the organization and coach others.

What will make you stand out:
