Business Development Manager

Job Description

AECOM’s Shanghai Architecture team is seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to accelerate growth in this strategic market sector. The role will focus on building and strengthening client relationships, leading pursuit strategies, and converting high-value opportunities into successful project wins.

What you’ll do

• Bring extensive and diversified experience, with a strong understanding of marketing and business development principles and best practices within the industry
• Develop and execute effective capture strategies, lead high-value pursuits, and drive the expansion of market share and top-line revenue for AECOM’s Architecture Practice
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key external clients while fostering collaboration across internal business lines, disciplines, and geographies to support profitable growth
• Work independently to achieve overall business development objectives, consistently meeting or exceeding annual capture and revenue targets
• Identify, develop, and drive new project opportunities, ensuring a sustainable pipeline and long-term business profitability
• Leverage prior experience in proposal development, including strategic positioning and pricing, to enhance competitiveness and improve win rates
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior practice leaders and design teams, effectively influencing decisions, negotiating outcomes, and resolving complex business challenges

岗位职责

• 具备丰富且多元化的行业经验，深入理解市场营销及商务拓展的原则与最佳实践
• 制定并执行高效的项目获取（capture）策略，主导高价值项目拓展，推动AECOM建筑业务线的市场份额提升及营收增长
• 建立并维护与核心客户的长期稳定合作关系，同时促进公司内部不同业务线、专业团队及区域之间的协同合作，以支持业务增长与盈利能力提升
• 能够独立推进商务拓展工作，达成整体业务发展目标，并持续实现或超越年度项目获取及收入指标
• 主导新项目机会的识别、培育与推进，确保业务管道（pipeline）的持续健康发展及长期盈利能力
• 运用过往投标经验，参与并支持方案编制工作，包括战略定位与定价策略制定，以提升市场竞争力与项目中标率
• 与高级业务负责人及设计团队建立紧密合作关系，通过有效影响决策、开展谈判并解决复杂业务问题，推动项目成功落地

Qualifications

Meet the requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Design, Business, or a related field required
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience, preferably within the architecture, engineering, or design consulting industry
• Proven track record in business development, including client relationship management, pursuit leadership, and revenue growth delivery
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and self-driven, with a hands-on approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Strong communication skills, with full professional proficiency in both English and Chinese (written and spoken)
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence clients, partners, and senior leadership

• 具备10年以上相关工作经验，有建筑、工程或设计咨询行业背景者优先
• 在商务拓展方面具备良好业绩记录，包括客户关系管理、项目拓展及营收增长实现
• 积极主动、注重细节，具备较强的自驱力与执行力，能够高效管理多项工作任务
• 具备优秀的中英文沟通能力（书面及口头流利）
• 出色的人际沟通及利益相关方管理能力，能够有效影响并与客户、合作伙伴及高级管理层沟通协作
