Camp Manager (Fly-In/Fly-Out) - High Arctic Operations (Ellesmere Island)

This is not a traditional camp management role.
This role is intended for experienced High Arctic operators. If your experience is limited to remote camps south of the Arctic Circle, this position is unlikely to be a fit.
MATRIX is seeking a hands-on Camp Manager to oversee a 30-person construction and exploration camp in the High Arctic. In these environments, maintaining camp infrastructure is a critical life-safety responsibility.
You have firsthand experience operating north of the Arctic Circle, where delayed resupply flights, severe weather, wildlife encounters, and infrastructure failures are part of the job. You understand that loss of heat, power, water, communications, or fuel can quickly become a serious operational risk.
The successful candidate will manage of all aspects of camp operations, including hands-on maintenance, oversight of housekeeping & catering oversight, health and safety, and client service, while ensuring the camp remains safe, functional, and operational in a challenging Arctic environment.
This role pays $450 - 475/ day for candidates without a Red Seal trade
This role pays $500 - $550/ day for candidates with a Red Seal trade.
The FIFO schedule is 4 weeks on/ 4 weeks off.
Travel arrangements will be taken care of for you.

Requirements
• Previous experience managing or overseeing camp operations north of the Arctic Circle is required.
• Strong practical knowledge of camp systems including power generation, fuel management, water and wastewater systems, communications equipment, buildings, equipment, and general camp infrastructure.
• Demonstrated experience with hands-on maintenance of camp infrastructure in remote environments where external support, replacement parts, contractors, and supplies may be days or weeks away.
• PAL Licence – Required.
• Level 1 Supervisor Certification – Required.
• Standard First Aid (or equivalent) – Required.
• Valid Driver's Licence – Required.
