OFCI Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced OFCI Project Manager to join our team on a large-scale data centre project in Sines, Portugal. The successful candidate will take full ownership of OFCI (Owner Furnished, Contractor Installed) packages, managing their end-to-end delivery from procurement through to installation and commissioning.

This is a key leadership position responsible for ensuring all OFCI equipment and systems are delivered, integrated, and commissioned in line with project schedules, budget, and quality requirements, while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full project ownership of all OFCI packages, acting as the primary point of contact between client-appointed vendors and internal project teams.
• Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of OFCI scopes, ensuring alignment with the overall project programme and milestones.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of OFCI equipment — including procurement coordination, logistics, delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Manage and mentor the OFCI team, ensuring high performance, clear accountability, and effective delivery across all packages.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, construction, planning, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless integration across all disciplines.
• Chair and lead regular stakeholder meetings with clients, vendors, and subcontractors, driving progress and resolving issues efficiently.
• Monitor and report on project progress, costs, risks, and opportunities, implementing mitigation strategies where required.
• Ensure all vendor equipment complies with technical specifications, quality standards, and project requirements prior to installation.
• Proactively manage commercial, contractual, and technical risks associated with OFCI packages.
• Ensure full adherence to health & safety standards, quality procedures, and regulatory requirements across all activities.
• Maintain strict client confidentiality and ensure compliance with all data centre security and operational protocols.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7+ years’ experience working with an M&E contractor or within a data centre or mission-critical environment.
• Proven experience managing large-scale projects, ideally including OFCI or vendor-managed equipment packages.
• Strong track record of delivering projects from design through to commissioning within strict timelines.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Strong commercial awareness, with experience managing risk, contracts, and vendor performance.
• Proficiency in project management tools and engineering systems software.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-performance environment with a strong focus on delivery.
