Job Description

  1. Job Purpose

To accurately verify, record, and manage the flow of incoming goods within the warehouse.

Ensure proper documentation is maintained while efficiently receiving shipments and preparing items for dispatch to customers. Adhere to compliance and ISO processes.

  1. Receiving and Checking Inbound Stock

• Check incoming stock for correct description, quantity, lot numbers, and expiry dates.

• Match stock to packing lists.

• Update Received and Dispatched schedule.

• Report discrepancies or damaged/missing items.

• Receipt items on Pastel software.

  1. Dispatching Customer Orders

• Prepare and check customer orders before dispatch.

• Ensure dispatch within required timelines.

• Pack orders with COAs, SDSs, invoices.

• Create waybills, arrange courier collection.

• Update POD schedules and follow up when required.

  1. Safety Compliance

• Adhere to all warehouse safety protocols.

• Log quality incidents promptly.

• Report process deviations immediately.

  1. Inventory

• Notify CS team of new inventory timeously.

• Perform monthly/cycle counts.

• Maintain expired stock lists.

• Ensure stock and shelving are labelled correctly.

Communication

• Communicate effectively with couriers, customers, and internal departments.

• Provide shipment status updates and handle delays.

• Resolve queries and complaints professionally.

Ad-hoc Tasks

• Assist team and manager with urgent requests.

• Perform ad-hoc tasks requiring flexibility and time management.

• Timely processing of customer invoices in Pastel on an interim basis

Qualifications

  • Matric Senior Certificate.
  • Certification in handling dangerous and hazardous goods.
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in receiving and dispatch within a warehouse environment.
