Job Description
The purpose of this role is to design, develop, maintain and support SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reporting solutions that provide accurate, timely and actionable business information. The role is responsible for translating business requirements into scalable reports, ensuring data integrity, improving reporting efficiency and enabling stakeholders to make informed business decisions through reliable reporting and analytics.
Role and Responsibilities
Maintain and quality-control global reference database for various financial products including exchange traded, broker-dealer platform, and OTC derivatives
Ensure accurate and timely pricing and evaluation, perform price validation, and interact with market data vendors (Bloomberg, ICE, Markit, Refinitiv, etc.) such as price challenges
Responsible for set-up, maintenance and monitoring of automated processes such as trade capture, investment pricing, and OTC derivatives evaluation
Design, develop and maintain reports (RSL/RDL) and dashboards using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
Create and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views and datasets
Gather business requirements and translate into reporting solutions. Work with cross-functional teams to deliver reporting solutions
Troubleshoot report performance and data issues, support report deployment, testing and ongoing enhancements
Qualifications
- 2 years’ of hands-on experience developing and supporting SSRS reports in a production environment or in a similar position
- Bachelor’s degree is a minimum
- Master's in finance, Economics, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Computational Finance, Financial Engineering, or other quantitative fields preferred
- CFA, FRM or enrolment in such professional programs is strongly desired
- Experience is financial services industry, or related area is an asset
Essential:
Strong experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
Proven experience writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, functions and performance optimization
Preferred:
Experience with Bloomberg, Refinitiv, ICE, IHS Markit, and/or other market data vendors
Working knowledge with VBA, Python or other scripting languages
Experience gathering and translating business requirements into reporting and analytical solutions
Experience with report deployment, scheduling, subscriptions, report maintenance and automated delivery.
Working knowledge with Advent Geneva
