Senior Associate, Banking Operations

Job Description

Work closely with MFS operations teams to deliver a range of banking services to Banking Clients including:

• Process international incoming and outgoing wire transfers in the banking system;
• Perform thorough research on payment investigations and initiate/respond to queries to/from counterparties via SWIFT;
• Analyze and provide timely response to client operations banking queries in a professional manner
• Assist with daily bank account reconciliations;
• Process client cheque deposits;
• Process client foreign exchange post trade settlements;
• Daily processing of foreign exchange and interest rates;
• Liaise with client operations teams and external auditors to complete bank confirmations;
• Assist with special projects (Banking IT system upgrades/implementation);
• Support banking and operations teams in delivery of services to external clients.

Qualifications

• An undergraduate university degree in finance or accounting related studies.
• 2+ years working experience in Banking.

Essential

• Knowledge of SWIFT system payment formatting and field definitions;
• Understanding of United States of America and International Clearing Systems;
• Excellent computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office Suite;
• Strong numerical skills with exceptional attention to detail;
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

• Working knowledge of Oracle Flexcube;
• Exposure to the Investment Industry banking client needs.
