Job Description

Join our Technology R&D Lab as a Client Solutions Engineer and become the technical bridge between our innovative composable banking platform and the financial institutions we serve. You have a deep understanding of investment, portfolio analysis and performance as well as strong technical skills. You will play a crucial role in driving customer success by creating comprehensive implementation documentation, supporting client engineering teams through their integration journey, and showcasing our platform's capabilities to prospective customers. 

You will work closely with Product, Engineering, and Sales teams to ensure clients can successfully adopt and deploy our cloud-native SaaS solution. Your technical expertise, knowledge of wealth management and communication skills will be essential in translating complex platform capabilities into clear, actionable guidance that accelerates time-to-value for our customers. 

Your key tasks 

• Architect and support proof-of-concept implementations, translating client requirements into integration designs 
• Provide hands-on technical support to client implementation teams, troubleshooting integration issues and advising on data architecture and API design 
• Conduct technical discovery sessions with prospective clients to understand their portfolio, performance, and data requirements 
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation: implementation guides, API references, data models, and integration patterns 
• Design reference architectures, sample code, and integration accelerators that reduce time-to-value for client onboarding 
• Partner with Sales during pre-sales to address technical questions, assess feasibility, and scope implementation effort 
• Translate domain models (positions, transactions, performance, fees) into clear integration guidance for client engineering teams 
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to channel client feedback and influence roadmap priorities 
• Stay current on platform capabilities, releases, and roadmap to advise clients on upcoming features 
• Contribute to knowledge base articles, FAQs, and community resources that enable client self-service 
• Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of Avaloq’s and other core banking systems which feed data to Mosaic modules 

Qualifications

• 10+ years in financial services technology with strong domain expertise in investment/trading platforms, portfolio data, performance calculation, fee mechanics, portfolio rebalancing, etc. 
• Proven architecture experience: data architecture, solution design, and translating complex domain models into efficient implementations 
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and modern data/integration technologies 
• Experience with event-driven, API-first architectures and HTTP/CLI-based integration patterns 
• Strong programming/scripting ability (TypeScript preferred; other languages welcome) for building demos, accelerators, and integration examples 
• Strong track record creating clear technical documentation for diverse audiences (client engineers, executives, prospects) 
• Excellent presentation and demonstration skills, comfortable with both technical and executive audiences 
• Experience supporting enterprise clients through complex implementations, ideally in banking, wealth management, or hedge funds 
• Comfortable working in early-stage, less structured environments, with a pragmatic, hands-on approach 
• Exceptional communication skills with ability to bridge business, product, and engineering 
• Willingness to travel for client meetings, workshops, and conferences
