Job Description

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive PEC Coordinator to join the Programme Excellence Centre on a 12‑month contract. Sitting within the PMO, this role supports global programmes by ensuring strong project controls, smooth governance, and consistent communication across teams.

You will play a hands-on role in gathering requirements, tracking tasks, supporting reporting cycles, and driving actions through to closure. Working closely with Project Managers, Finance, and senior stakeholders, you’ll help bring structure, visibility, and discipline to programme delivery.

Duties & Responsibilities

Project & Programme Support

  • Support teams in applying PLP and CLP lifecycle processes
  • Assist with governance activities including gate reviews, tollgates, and portfolio updates
  • Gather requirements, track actions, and ensure timely follow-through
  • Support programme reporting, dashboards, and review cycles
  • Maintain project data including milestones, finances, risks, and issues
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare materials, capture minutes, and track actions
  • Work across teams to ensure clear communication and alignment

PMO & Administrative Support

  • Manage the PEC mailbox and ensure timely stakeholder responses
  • Maintain SharePoint lists, registers, and documentation
  • Support reporting, presentations, and internal communications
  • Raise purchase requisitions and handle routine admin activities
  • Assist with scheduling, diary coordination, and meeting logistics

Continuous Improvement

  • Support improvements in PMO processes and governance practices
  • Contribute to maintaining standard frameworks and consistent ways of working

Qualifications

  • Qualification in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or related field (HNC or equivalent desirable)
  • Experience in a PMO, project coordination, or business analyst support role
  • Strong requirement gathering, task tracking, and stakeholder coordination skills
  • Hands-on experience with MS SharePoint (essential) and MS Office tools

Knowledge & Technical Awareness

  • Understanding of project reporting, cost tracking, and data management
  • Awareness of planning techniques, risk management, and project controls (e.g. EVM basics)
  • Exposure to forecasting, scheduling, and cost integration
  • Basic awareness of business intelligence / data analytics tools
  • Familiarity with product development or technology-based environments is a plus

  • Ability to produce clear documentation and concise meeting minutes
  • Demonstrates sound judgement, ownership, and ability to work independently
