Position Summary
The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient movement of goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists
- Accurately pick, pack, and ship customer and internal orders
- Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts and system updates
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and stand-up lifts (as certified)
- Stage and load outbound shipments for carriers and internal transfers
- Identify and report inventory discrepancies, damages, or shortages
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse and storage areas
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Support peak operations and assist other departments as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1–3 years of warehouse, logistics, or distribution experience preferred
- Basic computer skills and experience with inventory or WMS systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift and material-handling equipment certification
- Experience with shipping carriers and freight coordination
- Knowledge of inventory control best practices
- Prior experience in a fast-paced or high-volume warehouse environment
