Job Description
Student Service and Front-Line Support: Provides front-line support to students within the Tutoring Center framework to ensure timely assistance and a positive student experience.
Functions:
- Serves as the primary point of contact for students visiting the Tutoring Center;
- Assesses student needs and directs them to appropriate tutoring services or sessions;
- Provides information on available academic support services;
- Ensures a welcoming and supportive environment for students.
Scheduling and Operational Coordination: Coordinates daily tutoring operations within established procedures to ensure efficient scheduling and resource utilization.
Functions:
- Manages appointment scheduling and walk-in queues;
- Coordinates allocation of tutoring sessions and resources;
- Maintains order and organization of physical and virtual tutoring spaces;
- Supports smooth operation of tutoring sessions.
Data Entry and Record Management: Ensures accurate recording and maintenance of tutoring data within institutional systems to support monitoring and reporting processes.
Functions:
- Records student attendance and session utilization in relevant systems (e.g., SIS);
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of tutoring activities;
- Collects and inputs student feedback and session data;
- Ensures data accuracy and completeness.
Administrative and Communication Support: Provides administrative and communication support within ASC processes to ensure coordination and information flow.
Functions:
- Assists the Tutoring Coordinator with administrative tasks and documentation;
- Supports internal communication within the tutoring team;
- Coordinates scheduling updates and notifications for tutors and students;
- Prepares and maintains routine correspondence and documentation.
Support for Data and Reporting Processes: Supports data-driven processes within ASC frameworks to contribute to evaluation of tutoring effectiveness.
Functions:
- Provides data inputs to support analytical reports and program evaluation;
- Ensures timely submission of required data to relevant teams (e.g., Bridging Team);
- Assists in preparation of basic reports and summaries;
- Supports data collection processes.
Qualifications
Education requirements (level, field, licenses, professional certifications, etc.):
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Education, or a related field
Work experience requirements:
- 1 to 3 years of professional experience in administrative support, customer service, or office coordination
- Experience within a higher education or academic support environment is highly preferred
Knowledge, skills, and competencies requirements:
- Proficiency in utilizing scheduling software, CRM systems, and basic database management
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Strong understanding of the education legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Language requirements:
- Fluency in English, Kazakh, and Russian
