A Practical Look at the Job
We are seeking a Physical Therapist for a full-time role in a modern outpatient orthopedic clinic. This position is ideal for a PT who wants to work with a steady caseload, provide meaningful treatment, and help patients make progress with strength, mobility, balance, pain reduction, and daily function.
Most patients are being treated for orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions. The clinic serves patients from 11 to 90 years old, so each day may include a mix of post-surgical recovery, injury rehabilitation, chronic pain concerns, balance needs, and mobility improvement.
Clinic and Patient Flow
- Daily Patient Volume: 7–15 patients
- Weekly Clinic Volume: Approximately 160–190 patient visits
- Clinical Team: 2 Physical Therapists and 2 PTAs
- EMR System: WebPT
- Patient Age Range: 11 to 90 years old
- Primary Caseload: Orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions
Schedule Preferences
Option 1: Four 10-Hour Days, Preferred
- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
- Tuesday off each week
Option 2: Monday–Friday Schedule
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
- Wednesday, Friday: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM

Responsibilities
- Assess patients and determine physical therapy needs
- Build treatment plans based on diagnosis, functional goals, and clinical presentation
- Provide therapy for orthopedic injuries, musculoskeletal pain, movement limitations, weakness, and post-surgical needs
- Guide patients through strengthening, stretching, mobility, balance, and functional movement exercises
- Use manual therapy and other appropriate interventions within scope of practice
- Educate patients on home care, activity changes, body mechanics, and recovery goals
- Review progress and adjust treatment plans when clinically appropriate
- Complete clear and accurate documentation in WebPT
- Collaborate with PTAs and clinic staff to support quality care
Requirements
- Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program
- Active Missouri Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain one
- New graduates are welcome to apply
- Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred
- Strong communication, documentation, and patient education skills
- Ability to work with patients across different ages and functional needs
