Job Description

As a Senior Invoicing Officer, you will take ownership of the end‑to‑end billing cycle, ensuring invoices are accurate, timely, and fully compliant with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Working closely with the Head of Billing and cross‑functional teams, you’ll support month‑end activities, resolve complex billing queries, and drive process improvements that enhance efficiency and service quality across the business.

What You Will Do 

  • You’ll manage the full invoicing lifecycle by generating, validating, and issuing accurate invoices in line with SLAs, ensuring all supporting data, approvals, and expense allocations are correctly applied. 
  • You’ll analyse billing data and staff time‑recordings, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate timely corrective actions with stakeholders to maintain accuracy and compliance.
  • You’ll produce billing performance and recovery reports, highlight key variances, and support trade debtor management and month‑end close activities to ensure accurate financial reporting. 
  • You’ll act as a key point of contact for billing queries, collaborating with operational and finance teams to resolve issues efficiently and keep deliverables on track.
  • You’ll identify opportunities to improve billing processes, contributing to automation initiatives and enhancing procedures, controls, and overall operational efficiency.

Qualifications

About You

  • You have strong accounting knowledge and hands‑on experience in invoicing, billing, or accounts receivable, ideally within a shared services or professional services environment.
  • You have a solid understanding of the billing cycle, revenue recognition, and month‑end processes, and are confident working with high‑volume financial data. 
  • You are highly organised, detail‑oriented, and process‑driven, with the ability to manage tight deadlines and maintain accuracy under pressure.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data validation) and comfortable working with billing/ERP systems to extract and reconcile data. 
  • You are a collaborative and proactive problem‑solver with strong communication skills, able to engage stakeholders effectively; fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential
