The Role
We are hiring a highly commercial Senior Power Market Analyst to own a European power market stack for our Forward Power desk. You will connect short term market dynamics across the day ahead all the way out to Y +3.

Key responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end stack
- Build and maintain canonical data models for European power markets
- Convert data into explicit drivers of spreads and implied flows
- Develop feature layers linking fundamentals
- Translate trading questions into durable analytics, monitoring, and research inputs
- Partner with engineering to ensure reliability and performance of the stack
Requirements
- Strong understanding of European power markets and how short-term regimes influence the forward curve
- Strong Python and SQL skills and comfort building reproducible pipelines in a cloud environment
- Strong analytical judgement, data quality discipline, and ability to work with revised data releases
- Commercial mindset, able to explain drivers clearly and turn analysis into trade conviction
- Ownership mindset suited to a fast-paced trading environment
