Job Description

  • Lead identification, shaping, and capture of national security opportunities within Space Force, Space Command and other Department of War space organizations in the Intermountain United States, directing pursuit strategy and proposal execution for priority programs.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop mission-tailored solutions aligned with national security customer requirements.
  • Support development of sales enablement and thought leadership materials in coordination with Marketing & Communications, Policy, and Government Relations teams.
  • Maintain awareness of the on-orbit services competitive landscape and market trends, contributing to national security and intelligence community sales forecasting and the solutions roadmap.
  • Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on pipeline development, capture progress, and revenue forecasts.
  • Engage regularly with government customers and represent Astroscale U.S. at conferences, industry forums, and stakeholder engagements to strengthen relationships and advance business opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Experience (one of the following):
    • 15+ years of experience working with or within Space Force, Space Command or other U.S. national security space organizations, with strong knowledge of national security space missions and acquisition processes; or
    • 10+ years of experience in sales or business development within the space, aerospace & defense, or related technology sectors.
  • Must possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets and delivering measurable business growth.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with a reputation for integrity and professionalism in both internal and external engagements.
  • Experience collaborating with technical teams; prior experience as a solutions engineer or in a technical sales role is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present, influence, and negotiate with senior government and industry stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of the U.S. space enterprise, including the U.S. Space Force, U.S. Space Command, the Air Force Research Laboratory, and related organizations.
  • Working knowledge of defense space market trends, operational challenges, and emerging requirements shaping national security space missions.

Salary range: $185-220k. The salary range represents the low and high end of the Astroscale U.S. Inc. salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, knowledge, and ability as applicable to the role.
