The Role
Fairmarkit is building a brand-new AI and Agentic business line, and we need a full-cycle senior technical recruiter to find the rare builders behind it. This is a high-ownership, high-impact full-cycle recruiting role focused on sourcing, engaging, and closing elite AI and engineering talent in one of the most competitive hiring markets in tech.
This is a hands-on Individual Contributor (IC) role. You will personally own full-cycle recruiting for technical and AI hiring rather than managing a recruiting team. You'll own the full cycle for technical roles end-to-end: AI engineers, full-stack engineers, and adjacent technical profiles. You'll partner directly with the co-founders and recruiting leadership to build a pipeline from scratch, drive every stage of the process, and hold a high bar from first outreach through signed offer. This is not a “post and pray” role. It's a full-cycle strategic role that requires creativity, persistence, and genuine technical curiosity.
What You'll Do
- Own the full recruiting cycle for US remote-based AI and engineering roles end-to-end, from intake and sourcing through screening, interview coordination, offer, and close
- Build proactive sourcing pipelines using LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, community forums, AI practitioner networks, and creative outbound strategies
- Partner closely with co-founders and hiring managers to deeply understand the profiles we need and translate that into compelling outreach and sharp screening
- Drive every stage of the candidate experience with urgency and care: full cycle ownership means no handoffs, no gaps, and no candidates left in the dark
- Represent Fairmarkit credibly in conversations with technical candidates: you can speak to the work, the stack, and why this opportunity is worth their time
- Manage offers, negotiate comp, and close candidates with confidence
- Maintain clean pipeline hygiene in an ATS and report on key metrics, including time to fill, funnel conversion, and sourcing channel effectiveness
- Contribute to employer branding and recruiting content that resonates with AI and engineering talent
- Bring a point of view on market trends, compensation benchmarks, and where to find talent that others are missing
What You'll Bring
- 6+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, in-house at a B2B SaaS or technology company
- A proven track record owning the full recruiting lifecycle for hard-to-find engineering profiles, not just supporting pieces of it
- Direct experience recruiting AI engineers, ML engineers, or agentic systems builders: this is a must, not a nice-to-have
- Familiarity with technical communities like Hugging Face, LangChain Discord, or AI-focused GitHub organizations, and the ability to source credibly within them
- Demonstrates genuine curiosity about AI and emerging technologies, actively builds AI agents and workflow automations, and leverages AI to enhance recruiting outcomes.
- Genuine curiosity about AI and emerging technology: you do not need to be an engineer, but you need to be able to hold a credible conversation with one
- Strong full-cycle instincts from sourcing through close, with the ability to build a pipeline and see it all the way through to a signed offer
- Experience using Greenhouse, Ashby, or a comparable ATS
- High ownership mentality: you run your searches like a business, not a task list
- Clear, direct communication with candidates and stakeholders alike
- Comfort operating in a fast-moving, lean team environment where the process is still being built
Compensation / Location
For this role you need to reside in one of the following states: California (CA), Colorado (CO), Florida (FL), Georgia (GA), Illinois (IL), Indiana (IN), Maryland (MD), Massachusetts (MA), Montana (MT), New Hampshire (NH), New Jersey (NJ), New York (NY), North Carolina (NC), Ohio (OH), Pennsylvania (PA), Rhode Island (RI), Texas (TX), Tennessee (TN), or Washington (WA).
The annual compensation for this role is $178,000 - 205,000 (including a bonus), depending on experience and location, plus equity and benefits. This range is provided in accordance with applicable U.S. pay transparency laws. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and location. #LI-remote
