PATH is seeking candidates passionate about helping others make a positive change in their lives to join our Orange County Team as the Data Management Specialist, working out of our Costa Mesa office.

ABOUT PATH
Since its foundation in 1984, PATH (People Assisting the Homeless) has pioneered bold and effective approaches to assist people experiencing homelessness. PATH operates services throughout California, connecting our clients to a comprehensive continuum of homelessness prevention, street outreach, employment preparation and placement assistance, individualized case management, supportive services, interim housing, and permanent supportive housing.

ABOUT THE DATA MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
As part of the Orange County Team, the Data Management Specialist is primarily responsible for supporting the work of PATH's CES Administration Team in collaboration with the County of Orange, as the Coordinated Entry System (CES)
Lead Agency, HMIS agencies housing and service providers to connect individuals, families and survivors experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness to housing and appropriate housing interventions.

Position Responsibilities include:

  • Carryout data management and system maintenance work, including program creation, modification, and regular updates (user access, account creation, termination submission).
  • Implement program-specific quality assurance processes in compliance with contractual obligations, confidentiality rules related to personal identifying information, and donor guidelines.
  • Perform operational tasks related to data monitoring, data integrity, and quality control, focusing on data quality, ensuring compliance with standards, validating submissions, and accounting for correction.
  • Assist in developing data management protocols and procedures, providing regular and timely updates.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of agency-wide databases, including HMIS (Homeless Management Information System) Clarity.
  • Maintain compliance with CES policies and procedures, referrals through CES and compliance with HUD regulations.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate record keeping along with comprehensive program assessments.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in related field
  • Experience with HMIS, social services, or nonprofit administration, specifically regarding HUD funded programs.
  • Four (4) years of experience in a related job function or industry such as data management, program evaluation, research, and non-profit program administration.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Two (2) years of experience in a related job function or industry such as data management, program evaluation, research, and non-profit program administration

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
Regardless of qualifications, candidates must:

  • Have employment eligibility verification
  • Have or be able and willing to obtain CPR/First Aid training
  • Successfully complete the following as a condition of hire:
    • Tuberculosis Test
    • Background Screening
    • Drug Test

DRIVING
Driving is an essential function of this position. To meet the employment requirements for this role, all candidates must:

  • Have reliable transportation
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Proof of insurance and ownership for personal vehicles used during work duties
  • The ability to qualify for PATH's insurance coverage

We are a California employer. Therefore, all regular and customary work must be performed within the state. Approval for work outside of the office, does not establish approval for work to be conducted outside of California.

While some roles may include a schedule that involves multiple designated worksites or approved off-site locations (e.g., hybrid schedules), this does not imply that work will be performed from home. Many positions are fully on-site with no off-site work. All work schedules are determined by the responsibilities of the role and operational requirements, and may be adjusted at any time.
