JOB OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Property & Casualty Client Account Manager to join our Life Science & Technology insurance brokerage practice. This role will be responsible for delivering exceptional day-to-day service to a portfolio of middle market clients in the life sciences and technology sectors.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical P&C expertise, a client-first mindset, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. This individual will partner closely with producers and internal service team members to ensure seamless account management, retention, and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Client Service & Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary service contact for assigned client accounts
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and responsiveness
- Coordinate and deliver day-to-day service needs, including policy inquiries, endorsements, certificates, and coverage questions
- Assist clients with risk management strategies tailored to life sciences and technology exposures
Account Management & Renewals
- Lead the renewal process in collaboration with producers, including marketing, submission preparation, and carrier negotiations
- Review policies for accuracy, coverage adequacy, and compliance with client needs
- Prepare renewal proposals and client presentations
- Identify coverage gaps and recommend appropriate solutions
Carrier & Market Interaction
- Maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers and underwriting partners
- Negotiate coverage terms, pricing, and program structures on behalf of clients
- Stay informed of market conditions, emerging risks, and carrier appetite
Operational Execution
- Manage policy documentation, certificates, and endorsements with attention to accuracy and timeliness
- Ensure data integrity within agency management systems
- Support internal reporting, compliance, and workflow processes
- Collaborate with producers and other team members to drive efficiency and best practices
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with producers (4) and account management team (5+) to support client retention and growth
- Contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented culture within a boutique environment
- Mentor junior staff as needed
Qualifications
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in Property & Casualty insurance brokerage or agency account management
- Experience servicing middle market accounts, ideally within life sciences and/or technology sectors
- Strong understanding of key coverages including:
- General Liability
- Property
- Cyber Liability
- Professional / E&O
- D&O / EPLI / Fiduciary
- Umbrella / Excess
Licenses & Education
- Active Property & Casualty license required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Strong client service orientation and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines simultaneously
- Proficiency in agency management systems and Microsoft Office tools
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid setting

COMPENSATION:
The national average salary for this role is $75 000.00 - $90 000.00 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
