The role
As a Public Affairs Specialist – Pennsylvania at Nebius, you will help shape how the company engages with policymakers, community stakeholders, and industry partners across the U.S., with a primary focus on supporting Nebius’ presence and community engagement efforts in the northeastern Pennsylvania region. The role will also provide regional support for broader public affairs initiatives, including selective engagement in Vineland, New Jersey as needs arise.
You’ll engage directly with communities, support giving programs, monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments, craft advocacy materials, and support initiatives that strengthen Nebius’ reputation as a responsible and trusted leader in AI infrastructure and technology innovation. This role requires a mix of strategic awareness and operational execution — ideal for someone who is comfortable speaking in front of groups, relationship-minded, proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about the intersection of technology, policy, and community impact.
Your responsibilities will include:
Community & Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop and maintain relationships with local government, chambers of commerce, universities, and community partners in the central and northeast Pennsylvania region and Vineland, New Jersey when needed.
- Support community engagement initiatives, philanthropic partnerships, and Nebius’ corporate responsibility programs.
- Represent Nebius at local events, panels, and roundtables to enhance brand visibility and trust.
Government & Regulatory Affairs
- Monitor and analyze local, state, and federal legislative and regulatory developments relevant to AI, data infrastructure, and cloud technologies.
- Support engagement with elected officials, agencies, and public institutions in collaboration with the Vice President of U.S. Public Affairs.
- Draft policy briefs, issue summaries, and position papers to inform Nebius leadership.
- Coordinate Nebius’ participation in relevant trade associations and policy coalitions.
Communications & Advocacy
- Collaborate with the Communications team to ensure consistent external messaging related to public policy and community initiatives.
- Assist in preparing talking points, press materials, and briefing notes for leadership engagement with external stakeholders.
- Track public sentiment, media coverage, and emerging issues relevant to Nebius’ reputation and policy agenda.
Internal Alignment
- Partner cross-functionally with Legal, Policy, Compliance, and GTM teams to ensure business initiatives align with regulatory expectations.
- Provide timely updates and recommendations to leadership on policy risks or opportunities.
We expect you to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Communications, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5–7 years of experience in government affairs, public policy, or external relations (preferably in tech, telecom, or infrastructure sectors).
- Proven ability to translate complex policy topics into clear business implications.
- Experience engaging with government entities, advocacy groups, or trade associations.
- Strong writing and presentation skills; ability to synthesize information quickly and accurately.
- Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical skills to diagnose customer challenges and create tailored solutions.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to travel as needed.
