Job Description
For our team in Sassenheim, we are looking for a Sample Management Technician who can take responsibility for accurate sample handling, traceability and operational support in a GMP-regulated cleanroom environment. In this role, you will ensure that samples, materials and related processes are handled correctly, documented properly and completed within the required timelines.
Your work directly supports the production process of an innovative therapy. This means working according to defined procedures, maintaining chain of custody in LIMS and coordinating with QC and operations to keep the process running reliably.
You will work in a cleanroom under GMP guidelines. Some process steps require the use of additional PPE. The role includes following defined gowning procedures and wearing the required cleanroom clothing and PPE for specific process steps.
Your activities will include:
- Sample management activities, including sample handling, coordination, ensuring chain of custody in LIMS and communication with QC;
- Receiving and storing samples according to the applicable procedures;
- Performing daily and weekly sampling activities;
- Carrying out daily and weekly equipment support activities;
- Coordinating media logistics;
- Handling waste management and decontamination autoclaving;
- Transporting hospital bins;
- Supporting other operational areas when required.
Qualifications
- You have an MLO or HBO (BSc) degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences or a related field. Experience in a pharmaceutical environment and knowledge of GMP is preferred.
- You are willing and available to work flexible hours, including weekend shifts. This is an essential requirement for the role.
- You work accurately, follow procedures consistently and keep documentation complete and traceable. You can perform routine operational tasks independently, learn new procedures quickly and complete your work within agreed timelines.
- You communicate clearly with colleagues and relevant stakeholders, including QC and operations. When priorities change or an issue needs attention, you take the necessary action or escalate it in time.
- You contribute practical ideas to improve work processes, efficiency and the working environment.
- You are fluent in English, both spoken and written.
