LinkedIn, the world’s largest professional network, is seeking an experienced PR professional for a 12 month fixed-term contract role as a Communications Manager for the DACH (Germany, Austria, & Switzerland) region, based in either Berlin or Munich, Germany. This individual will join the Global Communications team to build and execute a comprehensive communications strategy. This includes driving campaigns and initiatives that support the company's business objectives in DACH, raise brand awareness across corporate, consumer, and B2B audiences, and support overall business growth. The successful candidate will ideally be a self-starter with in-house or agency experience, strong media relationships, and a background working with consumer-facing brands. Crucially, the role requires proven experience in establishing trusted, professional relationships with local senior business stakeholders, delivering creative and impactful communications campaigns in German, Austrian, and Swiss media, and collaborating effectively within a cross-functional team.
Responsibilities:
Support the LinkedIn DACH Communications strategy and drive the execution of campaigns and initiatives that deliver business impact across the DACH region.
Collaborate closely with local and international product, marketing, editorial, community, and policy teams on integrated campaign development and execution.
Provide communications and business counsel to senior executives and senior leadership team members where appropriate.
Own and maintain a strong network of media contacts and relationships.
Develop content including press releases, blog posts, messaging documents, and other materials.
Execute proactive communications campaigns across B2B, Corporate, and Consumer sectors, while also managing crisis communications and issues management.
Act as an active member of LinkedIn’s international PR team, implementing global campaigns, product announcements, and more.
Manage agency relationships and external partners as necessary.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
5 + years of experience in Consumer, B2B, and Corporate Communications.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Fluent in German, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications:
Robust media contacts and a keen news sense.
Experience running integrated consumer campaigns.
Experience collaborating within global organizations.
Prior experience working in a communications agency.
Strong research and analytical skills; ability to monitor and analyze industry trends.
Comprehensive understanding of the business and media environment.
Detail-oriented, well-organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
Proven ability to effectively manage senior stakeholders.
Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrates strong, collaborative decision-making skills.
Excellent written, editing, and verbal communication skills as well as ability to understand and apply available Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to daily work.
