About the Role
As a NCG Specialist, your main focus will be to ensure an efficient and timely logistics setup for non‑commercial goods (NCG), securing cost‑effective delivery, sustainable reuse, and accurate flow of materials from split‑point(s) to all Construction & Facilities projects. You coordinate sourcing, transport, inventory, documentation, and cross‑functional collaboration to guarantee quality, compliance, and smooth execution across store projects and maintenance activities.
This hybrid role reports into our Construction Manager and is based out of New York Support Office.
A Day in the Life
Working at H&M means no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will include the following responsibilities*
- Work in close collaboration with your C&F Manager and the Expansion Controller to set the optimal NCG strategy for your market
- Prepare, present and/or analyse all business cases connected to NCG and logistics investments
- Implementation of logistic set ups and ways of working
- Tender providers for transport, storage and handling of our NCG, ensuring the best price-quality ratio, in line with our H&M procurement standards
- Ensure the agreements with external partners are being followed and ensure that we get the right quality
- By staying up to date on technology development and industry standards, continuously propose investments and/or actions to improve our logistic efficiency
- Secure a cost-efficient on time delivery of NCG in the right quantity and in a sustainable way
- Secure that LIMA is updated with correct on-site dates to enable global forecasting of Interior products
- Coordinate and oversee the purchasing, ordering, fabrication, delivery and inventory of all interior items
- Ensure that relevant information is provided and received to and from all parties involved in the project on time and in a structured way
- Educate your stakeholders on NCG management and advise them in projects and procurement
- Invoice and claims handling
- Support our sustainability targets, by setting the reuse and waste management strategy for your market, based on Global H&M and Brand guidelines, as well as local waste management regulations
- Follow up on our reuse and waste management, and coach relevant peers in following these guidelines
- Be responsible for reducing our overall storage costs and set a strategy for how to reduce our inventory
- Be responsible for managing existing store inventories to prevent loss
- Work closely with Expansion, Visual, Controlling, Accounting and Project Coordinators (Operational Purchase Team) to secure routines for handling extra orders, missing material, delayed shipments and claims
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Strong knowledge of building materials and interior design elements
- Proven project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Advanced level of English, both written and spoken
- Relevant experience within NCG or logistics operations
- Background in retail construction and/or facility management is meriting
- Experience in setting up and implementing NCG strategies
- You are communicative, supportive, and consultative, with a creative and methodical approach. You value teamwork, act decisively, and remain action-oriented, ensuring smooth collaboration and strong delivery across stakeholders

Compensation: Salary $108,638**
