Job Description
The CI Maintenance Technician will repair, maintain, improve, and install new associated plant equipment for the process and water treatment plants in line with achieving our performance objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Troubleshoot and repair conveyor systems
- Troubleshoot and repair jaw and gyratory crushers
- Troubleshoot and repair centrifugal slurry and ANSI water pumps
- Troubleshoot and repair positive displacement rotary pumps
- Proficient in structure welding and fabrication. Mig, Tig, Arc, plasma and oxy/acetylene cutting.
- Proficient in carbon and stainless-steel pipe welding
- Knowledge in concrete form and finishing.
- Proficient in pipe layout and preparation
- Perform lazar alignments on direct drive and belt driving drive components.
- Proficient in the operation of skid steer
- Proficient in the operation of mini excavator
- Proficient in the operation of manlift
- Proficient in the operation of telehandler
- Proficient in repair and new install of basic plumbing (NPT pipe, PVC, PEX)
- Able to erect basic scaffolding (training will be provided)
- Assist E&I technicians with basic electrical troubleshooting, repair, and installation
- Install new systems, circuits, and hardware that have been deemed to improve processes and process equipment.
- Other duties as required.
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.
- Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the course of the workday.
- Work is in a surface mine plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity.
- Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.

Qualifications
- 2 + Years exposure to heavy industries
- Exposure or good working knowledge of a mineral processing plant is useful
- Has significant experience of fixed equipment, crushing, grinding, milling plant, rotating equipment, and pressure vessels is useful
- 5-10 years of Industrial Maintenance experience
- Experience in Preventative maintenance programs.
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
- Driver's License
