This role is employed by CBRE and sits within their Experience by Industrious business unit, operated in partnership with CBRE
About the role
Lever House is one of New York's most iconic office buildings. We are embedding a full-service meeting and event program called Board Center, and this role exists to make it work commercially and operationally. You will drive bookings through proactive sales and business development, then deliver every event with the polish and precision a flagship building demands. This is a rare chance to build a high-performing amenity program from the ground up at a landmark property. You will have real commercial accountability, the autonomy to set systems and standards, and the visible impact of seeing your work elevate both revenue and tenant experience every single week. The role reports to the General Manager at Lever House and manages a small amenity and events team.
What your day might look like
You start the morning reviewing your pipeline in Tripleseat and following up on three inquiries that came in overnight. One is a law firm looking to book a full-day board meeting for 35 people in two weeks. You walk them through availability, send over the pricing and floor plan, and schedule a site tour for tomorrow.
Mid-morning, you are on-site walking a prospective tenant through the board center. They ask about AV capabilities and catering options. You answer confidently, connect them with your AV manager to confirm technical specs, and close the conversation with next steps. By lunch, you have a signed contract in hand.
The afternoon is spent coordinating an event happening tomorrow: confirming the catering order, briefing your hospitality associate on the room setup, and doing a final walkthrough to make sure every detail is right. You end the day coaching your team on how to reset a room to standard after this morning's session ran long, then update your weekly booking tracker before heading out.
What you will own
Disciplined inbound lead conversion and proactive outbound business development, building relationships with tenant decision-makers, brokers, corporate planners, and local businesses to fill the calendar.
Deliver a luxury-standard hospitality experience across all tenant and guest touchpoints, ensuring spaces are spotless, pre-set to specification, and supported by flawless coordination of food, AV, and third-party vendors.
Manage the amenity operating budget, controlling cost of goods while maintaining service standards and avoiding supply outages or waste.
Lead, coach, and performance-manage the amenity and events team, setting clear goals and fostering a culture of accountability and empathy.
Establish and refine systems, standard operating procedures, and service protocols that enable consistent execution and allow the operation to run smoothly in your absence.
Maintain accurate financial and engagement reporting on established cadence, including booking trend analysis, quarterly recaps, and annual business plans.
Support leasing and marketing teams by conducting property tours, ensuring collateral aligns with building brand standards, and articulating the value of amenity spaces to prospective and current tenants.
Deploy customer sentiment surveys, analyze feedback, and create action plans to address concerns and continuously improve the tenant and guest experience.
Manage vendor relationships and contracts, including third-party AV providers and specialty food and beverage services, ensuring performance standards are consistently met.
Act as the primary point of resolution for tenant and guest issues related to amenity spaces, managing concerns with professionalism and follow-through.
You will love this role if
You are energized by the dual mandate of driving sales and delivering flawless operations, and you genuinely enjoy both sides of the work.
You thrive on variety and the pace of juggling multiple events, inquiries, vendor calls, and team coaching in a single day without losing focus or momentum.
You love building relationships and turning prospective clients into repeat customers through warmth, professionalism, and consistent follow-through.
You take visible pride in the quality of your work and notice the details others miss, from a perfectly pre-set boardroom to a thank-you note that arrives the day after an event.
You are comfortable being the face of the operation, greeting clients, walking tours, troubleshooting issues on the fly, and setting the tone for your team through how you show up.
You are motivated by clear goals and commercial accountability, and you see hitting your booking target as both a professional challenge and a personal commitment.
You are a natural coach who enjoys developing your team, holding people to high standards, and creating an environment where hospitality feels motivating rather than exhausting.
This role is probably not for you if
You prefer a purely sales-focused role where someone else handles the logistics, coordination, and day-of execution after you close the deal.
You are uncomfortable with the operational intensity of this role, including managing budgets, ordering supplies, troubleshooting AV issues, and ensuring spaces are spotless and ready.
You work best in a structured environment with clear processes already in place, rather than building systems and standards from scratch.
You prefer to work remotely or hybrid and are not excited about being on-site five days a week, including during events, to ensure seamless execution and high service levels.
You see sales targets as pressure rather than motivation, or you are risk-averse about carrying a hard commercial goal where your performance is measured weekly.
What we are looking for
5+ years of experience in hospitality, event sales, or meeting and event management, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets in a client-facing role.
Demonstrated ability to manage the full event lifecycle from inquiry and contracting through execution and post-event follow-up in a high-touch, luxury or corporate hospitality environment.
Experience managing and developing a team, including setting goals, delivering performance feedback, and holding people accountable to standards.
Strong budget management skills, including cost of goods control, vendor contract negotiation, and financial reporting.
Proficiency with booking and event management software such as Tripleseat or equivalent CRM strongly preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
The base salary for this role is $110,000, depending on experience, skills, and role alignment. This role is also eligible for a 25% annual bonus.
