Family Therapist – Children & Young People (CYP)

About the Role
This service is expanding its Children and Young People (CYP) Talking Therapies service, delivering high-quality, evidence-based mental health support to children, young people and families across the UK.
As a Family Therapist, you will work systemically with children, young people and their families to support emotional wellbeing and improve relational dynamics. You will deliver evidence-based family interventions as part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting children and young people experiencing a wide range of mental health difficulties.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality systemic family therapy interventions to children, young people and families
- Carry out comprehensive assessments, formulation, and risk assessments
- Work collaboratively with families to improve communication, relationships and outcomes
- Provide therapy via remote and/or face-to-face sessions
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team including CBT Therapists, Psychologists and CWP's.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with service requirements
- Adhere to safeguarding, confidentiality and clinical governance frameworks
- Engage in regular clinical supervision and ongoing CPD
Essential Requirements (Strict Criteria)
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- Current professional registration/accreditation with a recognised body (e.g. UKCP, AFT)
- Completed a recognised Family/Systemic Therapy qualification (e.g. MSc in Systemic Family Therapy or equivalent)
- Demonstrable experience delivering systemic family therapy to children and young people
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk assessment and clinical governance
- Experience working with children, young people and families within mental health services
