Technical Project Manager
Neurolabs

Help us build the future of retail execution
At Neurolabs, we give the world's leading CPG brands near real-time visibility into what's actually happening in their stores, closing the gap between what commercial teams plan and what shows up on shelf. Promotion compliance, pricing accuracy, product availability, while there's still time to act. No manual audits. No delays. No retraining.
We're the Execution Intelligence platform for CPG and we're looking for a Technical Project Manager who owns the connective layer across the business — from the moment a deal closes to the moment a customer gets an update. You'll be running the handoffs between sales and engineering, keeping delivery on track, and making sure nothing gets lost between teams. This is a hands-on role with real ownership — not a coordination function in a large organisation, but the person who defines how we move as a company.
This role comes with clear outcomes, not a playbook. The right person will build the approach themselves and in doing so, define what this function looks like at Neurolabs for years to come.
✨ Why this role matters
Information is the thing that makes a small, fast-moving company work. When it flows well, teams move fast and customers trust us. When it doesn't, deals stall, engineers start the wrong thing, and customers get surprises instead of updates. You own the flow — from the moment a deal closes to the moment engineering has what it needs to start, and every handoff in between.
Your mission: own the connective layer across sales, engineering, delivery, and customers — and make it the most reliable part of how we operate.
What you'll do
Own the sales-to-engineering handoff
Deals close and engineering starts fast because the context, commitments, and customer expectations are already there.
- You build a repeatable process that turns a signed deal into a clear engineering brief every time.
- Nothing gets lost between the sales call and the kickoff — context, commitments, and customer expectations travel with the work.
- Engineers never have to chase information before they can start.
Run cross-team coordination
The business moves at pace because someone owns the flow and that someone is you.
- Blockers get resolved before they become delays.
- Every team knows what they need to do, when, and why — without chasing each other for answers.
- You bring clarity to ambiguity and structure to speed, without slowing anyone down.
Keep customers and stakeholders informed
Customers trust Neurolabs more because of how well you keep them in the loop.
- Updates are proactive, clear, and land before anyone has to ask.
- You own the relationship between promise and delivery — customers always know where things stand.
- You handle the day-to-day so that escalations are the exception, not the rhythm.
Own delivery cadence and accountability
What gets committed, gets delivered and when it doesn't, you catch it first.
- Commitments are visible, tracked, and owned across the whole team.
- Slippage is flagged and replanned before it reaches a customer.
- You partner with the Implementation Manager so nothing falls between the cracks at handoff.
Shape what gets built
You're not just keeping the machine running — you're one of the people deciding what it builds next.
- Customer signal reaches planning because you make sure it does.
- Your insights influence prioritisation, not just inform it.
- As your context and credibility grow, so does your influence on product direction.
Requirements
Experience and background
- Start-up or scale-up background — has worked in a fast-moving environment with evidence of owning cross-functional work under resource constraints, not just managing tasks.
- Cross-functional connector — has operated as the bridge between commercial and technical teams, not just within one function. Evidence of working alongside both sales and engineering as a regular part of the role.
- Delivery track record — has kept complex, multi-team workstreams moving end to end, from requirement to delivery, with accountability for the outcome.
- Strong communicator — has managed stakeholder and customer communication directly, with evidence of proactive updates and confident escalation management.
- Process builder — has created or improved repeatable processes in a fast-moving environment. Not just followed them.
- Start-up or consultancy environment — has worked in a company of under 50 people, or a fast-moving agency or consultancy with direct client exposure.
Technical skills
- Comfortable working with engineering teams — can read a technical brief, understand a blocker, and ask the right questions without needing everything explained twice.
- Tooling — familiarity with project and collaboration tools. We use Linear, Notion, Slack, and Google Workspace. Experience with any is a plus.
- AI or software environment — prior experience in a software, SaaS, or AI company is strongly preferred.
How you work
- Accountable — you own the flow, not just the tasks. When something falls through a gap, you're the first to notice and fix it.
- Proactive communicator — you share progress and blockers upfront without being asked, and keep teams informed as a default.
- Calm under pressure — you can hold multiple work streams without losing clarity on what matters most.
- Direct but professional — you can chase an action, flag a risk, and manage a difficult customer update without drama.
- Collaborative — you work closely with engineering, sales, delivery and the CEO. You make each team feel supported, not managed.
- Curious — you want to understand what Neurolabs builds and why. The product discovery component of the role will grow, and you're interested in that direction.
Benefits
- Open salary structure — this role offers a competitive base salary, starting from £65,000 per annum.
- Equity share options — we operate an EMI share option scheme, so when the company grows in value, you share in it. Options vest over 48 months with a 12-month cliff.
- Pension — we contribute 3% through Penfold via salary sacrifice, with 5% employee contributions. Auto-enrolment applies after a 3-month postponement period, though you can join sooner if you'd like.
- Hybrid-first — minimum 3 days a week in our London office near Liverpool Street Station, with flexibility built around delivery and trust.
- Perks at Work — access to thousands of discounts across 30,000+ brands via CharlieHR, including up to 44% off cinema tickets and 15% off high street retailers.
- Cycle to Work scheme — purchase a bike and accessories in a tax-efficient way through salary sacrifice via Cyclescheme.
- Holiday Purchase scheme — buy up to 5 additional days of annual leave per year, spread across monthly salary deductions.
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, with the option to carry forward up to 3 days.
- Friday office lunch — every Friday in the London office, lunch is on us.
- Company socials — throughout the year we take time to reflect, reconnect, and recharge together.
- AXA private medical insurance — Neurolabs covers the full premium. Cover includes cancer treatment, diagnostics, physiotherapy, counselling, and European travel insurance. Dental and optical handbooks also available.
