Structural Steel Welder / Fitter / Fabricator

Pay Rate: Starting at $25.00 per hour, with higher rates available based on experience
Schedule: Multiple shifts available

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Welders, Fitters, and Fabricators to join growing manufacturing and steel fabrication teams in the Richmond and Ashland areas. This role involves working with structural steel components, interpreting fabrication drawings, performing welding and fitting operations, and contributing to the production of high-quality steel products.

Candidates with experience in structural steel fabrication, carbon steel welding, and blueprint interpretation are encouraged to apply.

### Available Schedules

Day Shift

Night Shift

Monday through Friday

8-hour and 10-hour shift options available

Overtime opportunities may be available based on production needs

### Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work instructions

Fit, fabricate, and assemble structural steel components, including I-beams and related assemblies

Perform welding operations using Flux Core and Dual Shield processes

Measure, lay out, and prepare materials according to specifications

Inspect completed work to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy

Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently

Work collaboratively with supervisors and production teams to meet project schedules

Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures

Maintain a clean and organized work area

### Required Qualifications

Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and fabrication drawings

Experience fitting and fabricating structural steel, including I-beams

Experience welding or fitting carbon steel components

Knowledge of Flux Core and/or Dual Shield welding processes

Previous structural welding experience or formal welding training/education

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

### Preferred Qualifications

AWS D1.1 Certification

Advanced structural steel fabrication experience

Multi-process welding experience
