About the Role

We are seeking a hospitality and housekeeping professional to join our team as a Reefsleep Lead Host on a permanent full-time basis. This is a unique opportunity to lead a dedicated team in enhancing guest interactions and delivering exceptional service to guests at Reefworld on the Great Barrier Reef.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Reefworld guest experience and foster a strong hospitality culture.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service standards across all overnight experiences.
  • Supervise Hosts and coordinate daily guest operations.
  • Manage premium food and beverage service delivery at all guest touchpoints.
  • Maintain accommodation presentation and uphold housekeeping standards.
  • Coordinate stock control, inventory management, and operational readiness.
  • Drive guest feedback collection and contribute to Net Promoter Score (NPS) outcomes.
  • Create a positive, engaging, and welcoming atmosphere for guests.
  • Support marine safety and emergency response procedures.
  • Inspire a high-performing team through effective coaching, mentoring, and leadership.

About You

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate hospitality professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to lead a team. As the Reefsleep Lead Host, you possess exceptional communication skills and a strong commitment to service excellence. You will ensure that each guest experience is memorable and personalised. You have a proven track record in hospitality and housekeeping, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve the highest standards of guest service.

 To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Strong leadership skills with experience in supervising and mentoring teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster positive guest interactions.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accommodation presentation and housekeeping.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage daily operations and adhere to schedules and procedures.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and professionalism.
  • A proactive approach to gathering and acting on guest feedback to enhance service standards.

Requirements

  • Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality, Tourism or Leadership (preferred)
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
  • HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
  • HLTAID015 Provide CPR & Oxygen Resuscitation
  • SITSS00016 Food Safety Supervisor
  • Elements of Shipboard Safety
  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
  • National police clearance
