Overview
We are seeking an experienced Application Engineer to support the design and implementation of critical power infrastructure solutions for data center and mission-critical environments. This role serves as a technical liaison between customers, sales teams, engineering, and operations, ensuring that solutions are designed, documented, and delivered to meet project requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical power distribution systems, data center infrastructure, and customer-facing engineering support.
### Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to develop technical solutions based on customer requirements.
Prepare proposals, technical submittals, and project documentation for customer review and approval.
Support project execution from order entry through manufacturing, delivery, and startup.
Develop and review technical drawings, specifications, and compliance documentation.
Provide technical guidance on power distribution systems and critical power applications.
Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during installation, commissioning, and operation.
Deliver technical presentations and training sessions for customers and industry partners.
Support product testing, application development, and competitive analysis initiatives.
Gather customer feedback and communicate recommendations for product improvements.
Travel to customer and project sites as needed (approximately 25–35%).
### Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in application engineering, design engineering, or field engineering within electrical power systems or data center infrastructure.
At least 2 years of experience using AutoCAD for technical drafting and design.
Strong understanding of electrical distribution equipment, switchboards, power distribution units (PDUs), static transfer switches (STS), and redundancy concepts such as N+1 and 2N architectures.
Ability to read and interpret electrical one-line diagrams, schematics, and technical specifications.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Willingness and ability to travel domestically as required.
