Travel Requirement: Regional travel throughout the Mid-Atlantic region
Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
Compensation: Starting around $90,000 annually, with flexibility based on experience and qualifications
Position Summary
We are seeking a seasoned construction leader to oversee field operations for architectural and miscellaneous metals projects across multiple job sites throughout the Mid-Atlantic. This position plays a critical role in coordinating field personnel, maintaining project schedules, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring high-quality installation work from project kickoff through completion.
The ideal candidate brings extensive experience managing crews in a construction environment and possesses a strong understanding of metal fabrication, installation practices, and project execution.
### Key ResponsibilitiesField Leadership & Team Development
- Provide direction, mentorship, and support to foremen and field personnel across multiple active projects
- Foster a culture centered on safety, accountability, quality, and productivity
- Conduct jobsite visits to monitor performance, address challenges, and ensure project objectives are met
- Assist with workforce planning, labor forecasting, and staffing coordination
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, and material resources to support project schedules
- Work closely with project managers, contractors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to maintain alignment on project goals
- Track field progress and communicate updates regarding schedules, milestones, and potential risks
- Support installation activities involving stairs, railings, structural steel components, rigging operations, and finish work
- Lead safety initiatives and reinforce adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements
- Conduct and participate in routine safety meetings and site inspections
- Ensure all field operations comply with OSHA standards and project-specific safety protocols
- Promote proactive hazard identification and risk mitigation practices
- Monitor workmanship and installation practices to ensure compliance with project specifications
- Apply quality standards throughout all phases of construction and installation
- Collaborate with project teams to resolve field issues efficiently and effectively
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within field operations

Required Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in miscellaneous metals installation, structural steel, or a related construction discipline
- Proven experience leading field operations, foremen, and installation crews
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and resource management
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, including occasional overnight stays
- Working knowledge of AWS D1.1 welding standards
- Familiarity with welding methods including SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW
- Experience utilizing construction and collaboration software such as:
- Bluebeam
- Trimble Connect
- Tekla
- OSHA 30 Certification
- Additional supervisory or construction management training is a plus
