Creative Content Producer (Video)

Job Description

Make content people actually stop scrolling for.

At Nearmap, we capture the world from above — and we need someone who can bring that story to life across every screen. As our Creative Content Producer, you'll be the engine behind our social and digital content: shooting, editing, animating, and packaging ideas into platform-native content that genuinely performs.

This isn't a "create a few posts a month" role. It's fast-moving, high-output, and deeply creative. One day you're turning a webinar into a punchy highlight reel. The next, you're on-site at an event filming and editing same-day. The day after that, you're collaborating with a customer to help tell their story in a way that resonates on LinkedIn.

You'll sit inside a small, tight-knit creative team — working closely with our Senior Creative Designer, Digital Designer, and Social Marketing Manager — and you'll have the creative instincts, technical skills, and pace to make it all happen, often within 48 hours.

What you'll do

  • Own social-first content end to end — short-form video, motion graphics, swipe-through carousels, and social graphics across LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and (soon) TikTok
  • Support the full marketing calendar — product launches, demand generation campaigns, customer stories, event highlights, webinar wrap-ups, and explainer videos
  • Move fast without sacrificing quality — 48-hour turnarounds are real here, and so is the standard
  • Stay ahead of the curve — platform trends, algorithm changes, accessibility standards, emerging formats; you bring new ideas proactively, not reactively
  • Manage your own pipeline — brief intake through to final delivery, organised and without being chased
  • Build content infrastructure — maintain a well-organised asset and footage library (including our rich archive of aerial imagery) the whole team can draw from
  • Show up for live moments — support event capture including filming, interviewing, and on-the-day editing when needed
  • Use AI tools confidently — you're comfortable using them to scale production without cutting corners on craft

Qualifications

What you'll bring

Experience

  • 3–5 years in video production, content creation, or a similar role — ideally in a B2B, SaaS, or tech environment
  • A strong portfolio showing short-form video, social content, and animation across LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, or TikTok
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
  • Comfort with fast turnarounds and brief-driven work — you can interpret direction, ask the right questions, and deliver without being hand-held
  • Experience capturing and editing live or event content is highly regarded

Skills

  • Video editing and post-production: raw footage to polished, platform-ready
  • Motion graphics and animation that add purposeful, on-brand movement
  • Visual storytelling: hooking an audience fast and landing a message in short format
  • Platform fluency — aspect ratios, optimal lengths, trending formats, and what actually performs
  • Strong design sensibility, even under time pressure
  • An organised approach to managing multiple briefs and deadlines simultaneously
  • Data-awareness — you read basic engagement metrics and use them to inform what you make next

Bonus points for:

  • Figma for light graphic design and template work
  • Photography or video capture skills for events and product
  • Experience with 3D or geospatial visualisation tools (Blender, Cinema 4D, 3ds MAX) — or a genuine curiosity to learn them

Who you are

You're platform-native — you notice what's trending and bring that instinct to everything you make. You're fast and focused, someone who takes pride in quality work delivered quickly. You're a creative collaborator who takes direction well, contributes ideas generously, and makes the people around you better.

You have a learning mindset — constantly watching, experimenting, and keeping up with what's next. You care about the details, even on quick-turnaround work. You're adaptable, knowing when to polish and when to lean into a trending format. And you bring good energy — handling feedback with maturity and genuine enthusiasm for the work.

Qualifications

A degree or diploma in Digital Media, Film & Television, Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field is preferred — but we know the best content creators often come from non-traditional paths.

What matters most is your portfolio. Show us content you've made, platforms you've grown, and videos that performed. That will tell us everything we need to know.
