Job Description
Sutherland is seeking an Integration Engineer to play a key role in designing, implementing, and delivering technical integrations and enterprise software deployments for customer environments. This role requires strong technical expertise, analytical thinking, customer interaction skills, and experience working across multiple systems and technologies. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with customers, Engineering teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to build scalable integration solutions and ensure successful customer implementations.
The Integration Engineer performs a wide range of duties including some or all the following:
- Build integrations between enterprise applications, databases, external platforms, and data sources using APIs, ETL processes, scripting languages, and integration technologies.
- Work closely with customers and internal teams to understand business requirements, define technical solutions, and support implementation activities.
- Perform data mapping, transformation, validation, and integration activities to ensure accurate and reliable data flows across systems.
- Design, configure, and implement customer-facing functionality including workflows, forms, reports, and process automation components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Project Management, Customer Success, and Product teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
- Support troubleshooting activities related to integrations, data quality, system connectivity, and deployment issues.
- Create and maintain technical documentation including integration specifications, deployment guides, workflows, and implementation artifacts.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize integration processes, tools, and implementation methodologies.
- Partner with other technical teams to share best practices, knowledge, and implementation standards.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to Product and Engineering teams to improve future product capabilities and customer experience.
Qualifications
- Advanced English proficiency (B2 or Higher)
- Strong technical and analytical skills with experience solving complex integration and data challenges.
- Experience implementing integrations between enterprise applications, databases, APIs, or third-party systems.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, data handling, and database technologies.
- Experience working with ETL processes, data mapping, APIs, XML, scripting languages, or integration technologies.
- Experience supporting customer-facing implementations or technical consulting environments is preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and thrive in fast-paced project environments.
- Experience working with Linux, Windows environments, scripting languages, or application infrastructure is preferred.
- Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with data warehousing, business intelligence platforms, analytics tools, or large-scale data environments is considered a plus.
- Experience with cloud platforms, enterprise software deployments, or distributed architectures is preferred.
Additional Information
Hybrid work model: 3 days working from home and 2 days onsite at our Torre Krystal offices in Bogotá.
