Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

Mechanical Resident Engineer in the plant, responsible for assigned projects.

-Responsible for design related problem solving activities, risk assessments, and plant related issues.
-Work on improvement projects as an extended resource to the VSO (Value Stream Organization) such as scrap reduction, downtime, FOR (fall-out-rate), IDC (internal defect cost) and improvements on line utilization.
-Support and assist on plant/ supplier related issues such as tooling replacement (evaluation of local sources for mechanical components), and supplier delivery issues.

-Assess and provide guidance from development perspective to commodity related issues such as plastics, die-cast, stamping, etc.

-Technical responsibility for cost reduction initiatives such as component localization in North America and RPP (Ratio Project Planning).
-Assess technical impact of product deviation from the mechanical side.

Qualifications

Education:
BS Degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
Working Experience:
• Preferable 2-3 years in similar roles.
