The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on building systems and equipment. This role ensures facilities are safe, functional, and operating efficiently by addressing day-to-day maintenance needs and supporting preventative maintenance programs.

Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment, including HVAC systems, pumps, motors, conveyors, and other machinery
- Diagnose mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs in a timely manner
- Perform preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and extend asset life
- Repair and replace worn or defective parts, components, and systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Perform basic electrical, plumbing, and welding tasks as needed
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and equipment failures
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and OSHA standards
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff, vendors, and operations teams
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3+ years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment repair, and troubleshooting
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Technical certification or trade school training (mechanical, HVAC, or industrial maintenance)
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, commercial, or facilities environments
- Welding or fabrication experience
- Familiarity with CMMS systems
- May work in indoor and outdoor environments with exposure to noise, heat, cold, and machinery
- May require lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, standing, and bending for extended periods
- Possible evening, weekend, or on-call work
