About the Role
The TM – Associate Manager, Operations is responsible for leading the day-to-day execution and operational performance of a managed transportation account as it transitions into a fully managed services model. This role plays a critical part in stabilizing operations, building scalable reporting processes, and driving continuous improvement across the customer network.
Success in this role requires strong multitasking abilities, analytical thinking, and close collaboration with both internal teams and external partners to meet service expectations and operational goals. The ideal candidate is proactive, solutions-oriented, and excited to take ownership of a growing and evolving account.
This position reports directly to the Operations Manager and will initially manage one direct report supporting front-line operational execution. As business needs evolve, this role may also provide operational support across additional managed transportation accounts.
This position is hybrid and based at Uber Freight's Center of Excellence in Rogers, Arkansas.

What You'll Do
- Partner closely with front-line operational resources to proactively identify, communicate, and resolve issues related to process, service, cost, and overall account performance
- Lead operational stabilization efforts as accounts transition into managed services models
- Develop, standardize, and maintain customer-facing reporting and internal performance management reporting
- Analyze operational and performance data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for continuous improvement
- Collaborate with leadership to build and scale reporting frameworks using Google Sheets, Tableau, and other reporting platforms
- Train, coach, and develop direct reports through regular 1:1s, performance conversations, mentoring, and ongoing feedback
- Monitor team performance and ensure accountability to operational expectations and standard work processes
- Maintain working knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to support daily execution and bridge operational activities with leadership oversight
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners through professional, timely, and collaborative communication
- Support cross-functional initiatives and provide operational assistance across additional accounts as business needs evolve
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- 1.5+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or a related field
- 1.5+ years of experience working with Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
- Prior experience in a transportation, logistics, or managed services organization with exposure to Uber Freight or similar TMS-driven environments
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across internal teams and external stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or managed transportation operations
- 4+ years of experience working with Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
- 3+ years of experience leading, mentoring, coaching, or developing team members
- Experience managing direct reports and driving team performance in an operations environment
- Experience building, maintaining, and analyzing operational performance reporting and KPIs
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Tableau, or other reporting and analytics tools
