Job Description
Build a professional one-on-one working relationship with young adults to aid in eliminating challenges that are hindrances to obtaining and retaining employment. This includes: assessment, individualized attention and coordination
Prepares, organizes, and maintains accurate, updated information in both electronic and paper participant files reflecting the entire history of a program participant including log of supportive services issued
Provides case management with a focus on helping customers to prepare for employment that leads to self-sufficiency
Provide consistent and comprehensive case management, documentation and follow-up
Conduct client orientation /on-Boarding-
Work with local training providers and/or placement sites to ensure appropriate documentation is completed and received
Facilitate professional development workshops as assigned
Maintain organized database of clients and keep detailed documentation (case records) of all contacts with clients.
Ensure participants follow through with planned activities as outlined in developed Individual Employment Plan
Provide individualized assessment of work.
Provide referrals to appropriate community service or social service agencies when needed
Accurately complete required documentation for enrollment
Create solutions to participant attendance problems
Assist in the preparation of project reports as needed (participation, placement)
Work collaboratively as part of the business services team to identify which jobs are available, what qualifications are needed, and which workshops and trainings can best prepare jobseekers for these positions
Participate in activities including training, capacity building, and professional development - Work with leadership to identify operational challenges and to design and implement process improvements
Provide operational support and coverage as needed/assigned
Provide operations support for all compliance driven standards
Promoting products, services, and content over social media, in a way that is consistent with an organization’s brand and social media strategy
Ability to Create content, including text posts, video, and images for use on social media
Scheduling social media posts using applications such as CANVA and constant contact
- Coordinate and administer the development of quality social media content targeted at youth between the ages of 17-24
May be assigned other tasks and duties reasonably related to their job responsibilities
Qualifications
- Ability to maintain flexibility as needs of contract or contractor require
- Proficiency with the use of MS Office and Google docs
- Ability to prioritize tasks and document visits and contacts
- Demonstrated telephone, computer and strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in environments with multiple stakeholders, frequent change, and diverse objectives
- Professional understanding of a vast array of occupations and career paths
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in education, social services, and/or communications or experience commensurate with the position
- Demonstrates strong customer service skills. Strong presentation skills with public speaking or outside sales experience recommended
- Prior case management experience preferred
- Knowledge of Scranton, PA/Lackawanna County, PA community recommended/preferred
