Equipment Technician

Job Description

• Responsible for the maintenance and adjustment of the offline, auxiliary bindery/finishing equipment and components
• Perform routine, scheduled maintenance such as cleaning, oiling, replacement of worn parts, adjusting belt tension, knife grinding, etc.
• Maintain an inventory of spare parts and submit orders for part as needed to ensure continuous operation of equipment

Qualifications

• General knowledge of small/light equipment and machines and the mechanical operation of equipment
• Requires knowledge of mechanical and electrical functioning of machinery serviced and ability to troubleshoot malfunctions and identify worn out parts
• Ability to understand electrical and mechanical schematics
• Ability to interpret instruction manuals
• Good knowledge of the tools and test equipment used in the diagnosis and repair of equipment service
