Veterinary Technician - Medical Oncology

Friendship Hospital for Animals, a leading AAHA- accredited hospital located in Washington D.C. is seeking a veterinary technician to join our Oncology team. If you value providing compassionate care and you enjoy being part of a diverse team – we’d love to meet you!
About the role:
As an oncology technician, you’ll work closely with our oncology team to support patients through diagnostics and treatment. As there is a lot of client education and communication, this role is best suited for someone who enjoys and is comfortable with communicating with clients. Our technicians must be skilled with venipuncture, medical math, and comfortable with following strict protocols for various chemotherapy agents. Attention to detail and organization is also a must as well as being a great team player.
Schedule: Four 10 hour shifts Tuesday – Friday. This is a full time position.

Qualifications
- Credentialed veterinary technician ( CVT, LVT, RVT) strongly preferred
- Minimum 2 years of veterinary technician experience, preferably in specialty medicine.
- Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence
