Job Description
The Advisor - Sustainability (Management Systems) supports Environmental, EA&SP Management Systems team by ensuring compliance with assurance processes and obligation requirements utilizing established internal and external controls and processes.
This role ensures compliance with permit conditions and regulatory commitments by tracking, documenting, and communicating reporting milestones across internal and external stakeholders. The Advisor plays a critical role in maintaining data systems and ensuring the operation remains compliant with internal and external obligations and assurance processes.
- Full-time Monday – 7:00am to 4:00pm, Friday Flex Schedule
- Environmental, EA&SP Reporting to Superintendent- Management Systems
Compliance
- Manage and support projects while ensuring compliance with internal company standards and industry best practices
- Participate in internal assurance activities, risk assessments, and compliance activities
- Support compliance related maintenance and monitoring activities.
- Maintain and track obligations associated with mining activities.
- Monitor compliance milestones to ensure requirements are met.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of commitments and conditions.
Data Management & Reporting
- Develop, maintain, and optimize database workflows and reporting tools to support sustainability initiatives
- Maintain permitting records and compliance tracking within data management systems
- Collect and organize data to support assurance processes, reporting, and regulatory submissions.
- Support preparation of compliance reports and dashboards.
- Ensure all documentation is maintained in accordance with company governance and industry best practices.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with site teams including Environmental, Operations, Engineering, and Closure Planning to track permit requirements and upcoming milestones.
- Support communication with external stakeholders including government regulators and agencies.
- Assist in preparing documentation for inspections, audits, and regulatory reviews.
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Provide technical support and training for end users while promoting best practices for information management
- Maintain organized records of permits, approvals, and supporting documentation.
- Develop and maintain permitting trackers and documentation procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve permitting workflows, documentation, and data management practices.
Qualifications
- Experience maintaining relational databases and enterprise data management systems
- Proficient in Microsoft 365
- Experience supporting compliance activities, ideally within mining, heavy industry, or resources
- Experience working with data management systems
- Strong knowledge of data governance, records management, and document control best practices
- Proven ability to coordinate across internal and external stakeholders
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Geology, Biology, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Natural Resources, Mining, or a related field, or equivalent experience highly regarded

Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.
- Must be able to work shift work with 12-hour shifts.
- Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the workday.
- Work is in a mine setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity.
- Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.
