Job Description
Responsible To:
Senior Housekeeping Team / Assistant Head Housekeeper
Purpose of the Role
To support the housekeeping team in delivering a five-star standard of cleanliness and presentation, ensuring all guest rooms and public areas exceed expectations and contribute to memorable guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Quality
- Prepare guest bedrooms and public areas to Forbes 5★ standard
- Deliver turndown service to a +1 standard
- Support guest laundry services to a high-quality standard
- Respond to guest requests promptly, with a genuine sense of interest
- Report maintenance issues or quality concerns
Team Support
- Work collaboratively with the team to maintain a positive and productive environment
- Support colleagues during busy periods
- Assist with cleaning and maintaining team areas and accommodation
Productivity & Organisation
- Restock cleaning supplies and equipment
- Ensure rooms are cleaned within allocated timeframes
- Report and follow up on faulty equipment
- Follow SOPs and suggest improvements where appropriate
Health & Safety
- Comply fully with health & safety procedures
- Follow “see it, sort it, fix it” approach to risks and hazards
Sustainability
- Work in line with the company’s sustainability and environmental standards
